Okay, so it’s taken me a week for the shock and denial to wear off. Now, the dust has settled. And, I look at my little girl. And, she is exactly that…..a little girl. Her baby fat has been shed. Her face is slender and her eyes sparkle like they’ve seen so much in her short little life. Her mind buzzes with so many facts and memories, that she surprises us daily with the things she says. She loves everyone she meets…..sometimes she just needs a minute or two to warm up. She’s sensitive. She’s cautious. She’s a perfectionist. She’s polite. She’s smart. She’s funny. She’s observant. She’s creative. She’s beautiful inside and out.
She’s four years old.
No longer a baby….no longer a toddler.
She’s our big girl! And, we are so proud to say she’s ours.
