Like father, like daughter!

I don't think I need to say much more about this picture.......kinda speaks for itself....

Pediatrician appointment for both girls!

Both Lauren and Molly had a well child check today at Dr. Bode's office. Lauren is 3 years old and weighed in at 31.7 lbs. Molly is 2 months old and weighed in at 11 lbs. 7.6 oz and is about 22 inches long. Both girls were very brave during their shots, even though Molly cried so hard she turned a weird shade of purple. All-in-all, it was a great visit and both girls are healthy.

Oh.....and I LOVE my pediatrician. She is, seriously, the most down-to-earth, mellow, smart, make you feel good doctor I could ever ask for.

Father's Day 2010

So, this year for Father's Day, Lauren painted a birdhouse for her Daddy. She loved doing it....and it kept her busy while I painted the letters for her and Molly's room.

We, apparently decided to do an Old West theme for Father's Day this year. We went to Rawhide on Saturday to see what it was all about. Lauren became Sheriff of the town for the day and shook the Marshall's hand.

We took them to an Old West show there, complete with gunfire......yay! (enter sarcastic tone here). Both girls HATED it, so we left just as the show was ending. We, then had planned to go to dinner at the restaurant there. But, there was an hour and a half wait. So, we decided to go to Rustler's Roost instead. For those of you fellow Arizonans who haven't been there, it's definitely an experience. It begins with a giant long-horned bull at the entrance, and a slide you can take to get to your table, and includes great food and live music (which Lauren LOVES...she's our tiny dancer). I highly recommend going, at least once, to check it out!

It was a good Father's Day weekend for Dennis. He even braved the 106 degree heat to go golfing on Sunday.

Lauren vs. Molly 6-7 weeks old

I wanted to see just how alike the girls look! The first two pictures are of Molly taken at 6 weeks old. And, the second two are of Lauren taken when she was 6 weeks old!

Lauren had WAY more hair. But, I think they are definitely siblings! :)

First recorded smile!!

What an amazing moment....the moment your tiny baby shows you just how much she loves you with the cutest little smile on her baby face. Molly has been sort of smiling since about 5 weeks old. But, she really started smiling a lot when we went back to Iowa. She was 6 weeks old that week. It was so precious to see. She's smiling at her Daddy in this picture!

Trip to Iowa!

So, we just had to make a trip to Iowa. Yep, Molly had her first plane ride (she did okay until the Denver to Phoenix leg......then constant, inconsolable screaming ensued!). Dennis' dad had been sick, so we decided to go back to see him and everyone else. His dad seems to be doing better. And, the girls had fun seeing him and the rest of the Iowa Malone family. We did some grilling out and got to see and hang out with some great friends, including our best friends, Josh and Kelly. My friend Amanda and I took Lauren and Molly to the Iowa Children's Museum. It was the coolest children's museum I've been to. I even had a good time.
